Clyde reached down and gathered poison ivy leaves in his hands before he pressed the greens to his lips and kissed the bunch of them, not just once but over and over to prove to me that he is not allergic. I almost died! I think I will call him tomorrow to see if he is ok. He is in his 70’s and said that he has done this all his life. My neighbor, my friend, I am not sure one should tempt fate so.
Grandpa, 97, and I went rambling down in Noble
County. He showed me the mountain that he used to climb on his walk to
school in the mornings. The schoolhouse is still there and even an
outhouse. The day was priceless.

The Unfurling is Underway
Jim caught this awesome picture of a fiddlehead unspiraling.
Just in from an awesome walk. We went through a meadow that is yellow with cress and found a rich woods, full of trilliums, wild geraniums, Jacobs ladder, wild ginger, Solomon’s seal and more then we came back home to our own yard just as the robin’s were singing it to sleep and the smell of lilacs was permeating the air! Ah! Thank you God!
